DÉLIO JASSE
Délio Jasse nasceu em Luanda, em 1980. Com 18 anos Délio Jasse viajou para Lisboa onde começou a trabalhar em ateliês de serigrafia, onde aprende técnicas de impressão e entra pela primeira vez em contacto com a fotografia. Começa a experimentar com técnicas mais artesanais, como por exemplo a técnica do ‘pin-hole’.
Hoje, a sua exploração criativa na fotografia passa pela apropriação de negativos encontrados, e o trabalho com impressões em técnicas e suportes não convencionais, como cartão, tecido, madeiras, entre outros.
Em 2009 foi o vencedor do Prémio Anteciparte e participou na exposição Anteciparte no Museu do Oriente em Lisboa. Apresenta no mesmo ano um projeto individual no Voyeur Project View em Lisboa, bem como participa do II Certame PHOTOAFRICA 09, Festival de cinema Africano de Tarifa, Espanha. Em 2008, participa, entre outras, na exposição INPUT, no Museu Nacional de História Natural (SIEXPO), em Luanda, Angola, bem como na exposição “Construção e Desconstrução” no Convento dos Cardaes, Lisboa, Portugal.
O artista encontra-se representado em várias coleções privadas e institucionais angolanas e portuguesas.

Délio Jasse was born in Luanda, in 1980. At the age of 18, Délio moved to Lisbon where he started to work in silkscreen workshops, learning several printing techniques. He also came in contact for the first time with photography. He then starts to experiment with artisanal techniques, such as pinhole photography.
Nowadays, he creatively explores the medium of photography by using found film and using non conventional photographic printing techniques and materials, such as cardboard, fabric, wood and others.
In 2009 he won the Anteciparte Award and exhibited his work at the Anteciparte exhibition held at the Oriente Museum in Lisbon. Also in 2009 he presents an individual show at the Voyeur Project View in Lisbon, and in Spain takes part in the II Certame PHOTOAFRICA 09, Tarifa’s African Film Festival. In 2008, his major exhibitions include INPUT, at the National Museum of Natural History on Luanda, Angola, and “Construção e Desconstrução” at the Convento dos Cardaes, Lisboa, Portugal.
Délio Jasse is represented in several private and institutional collections, in Portugal and Angola.
